About your Instructor
Dear Nonprofit Leader,
My journey in the nonprofit industry started when I was still a student. That’s right! I was taking up my degree in Political Science at the Tuskegee University when I tried my hand for the first time at grant proposal writing. It was just a class assignment back then, but I didn’t know that it will open up doors of opportunities and unlock my potential at grant writing and fundraising

What I wrote as a grant proposal for a class assignment was awarded $250,000 from HUD for Drug & Alcohol elimination in the public housing community of King sport, TN. Imagine how shocked I was to be able to clinch a grant funding so big for my first time writing a grant proposal. But since then, I never looked back.

Since then, I have grown to hold every single job in a nonprofit and in every single one of them, I have expertly showed leaders how program, finance, and fund development must work together for organizational sustainability.

They often say time flies, but I realized time flies faster when you are productive. Fast forward over 30 years of productive work in the nonprofit industry, I am now sharing my expertise in the areas of grant writing, major fundraising, strategic planning, program development, and organizational assessment to some of the largest nonprofit organizations in the country.

Through out this journey, I have already trained thousands of nonprofit executives, board members, and fundraising staff raise $300,000,000 in funding. This is why people affectionately call me “The Grant Guru” and “The Nonprofit Expert”. To this day, I continue to coach board members, nonprofit leaders, fundraisers, and entrepreneurs. If you mission is to help your community, MY MISSION is to help you help your community. So, shall we?

FIRST LESSON I TEACH NONPROFIT LEADERS:
 MONEY IS NOT AN ISSUE
What? Did you read it right? Oh, you read it JUST RIGHT! Money is not an issue in building a sustainable nonprofit, because it always boils down to the A.B.C's: Access, Belief, and Capacity. These A,B,C’s will keep you fully funded. You just have to know how to apply it, who to apply it to, and how to sustain it to keep your donor list as long as your funding needs list.
THIS SEEMS REALLY HARD... BUT AS YOUR COACH, I CAN WORK WITH YOU THROUGH ANY HARD STEPS OF THE PROCESS OF GETTING FULLY FUNDED
Access, Belief, & Capacity Mastermind is a step-by-step guide that will show you how to clinch the interest, win the loyalty, and gain the consistent donations of your target donors. The goal is not only to help your community— The goal is to help you serve your mission and purpose through your nonprofit!

Module #1: THE FOCUS IS ON THE MISSION
You’ll learn…
Your Mission Matters! Fundraising strategies work best for nonprofits when they are  aligned with their mission.
How to Use Your Mission to Clarify Purpose and Determine Organizational Direction: A good mission statement serves as somewhat of a North Star for your nonprofit. It’s a foundation for your strategy and a  guiding tool for a multitude of activities: from hiring to marketing. By  definition, you can’t prioritize everything, and your nonprofit mission  statement helps you clarify what to focus on.
How to Motivate Staff, Supporters, Board, & Volunteers to Know and  Memorize Your Mission: Mission statements do not only dictate and  influence how organizations should act, but also heavily influence how  employees and volunteers think of their roles. A mission statement  influences and shapes your organizational culture, and organizational culture  is a crucial aspect of employee happiness. People want to believe in the work  that they do.
Ways to Use Your Mission As a Template for Decision Making: A mission  statement is to an organization what a compass is to an explorer. If designed well, it will provide your nonprofit with a framework for making decisions  throughout the organization. Your nonprofit mission statement can help you evaluate options and decide what’s best for your nonprofit according to your  preferred future.
Strategy to Use Your Mission For Organizational Focus and to Get  Attention: A mission statement can help your team work through different  problems and evaluate multiple possibilities. It is especially helpful when  your team is being pulled apart in too many directions. A well-crafted mission statement allows your nonprofit to have consistency across time and geography.
Strategy to Use Your Mission For Organizational Focus and to Get  Attention: The Road-map to Use Your Mission to Send Out a Powerful Message to  the Public: In one or two sentences, your mission statement sums up the  essence of your organization. It speaks volumes about what you stand for, and it should make people want to know more about your organization and support your work.
Module #2: MONEY OPTIONS
You’ll learn…
Who Else Is Doing The Work: Find out if organizations (nonprofit, for-profit, or  government) are already doing the same or similar work in your community.
What is the Need: What ways will your organization stand out from other  organizations serving the same population.
The Stats Prove It: Demographic or population data that shows a need for your  services and explains how that need is not being met.
Simple Solution: The specific solution your organization will address to meet their  need(s).
The Length of the Program: The length of time it will take for your program to  solve their problem(s) – address their need.
It’s Time To Transition Out: What they will look like when they come into your  program and what will they look like when they leave your program
After Care Plan: Where will they go, or what will they look like, when they leave  your program.
Module #3: SETTING YOURSELF UP
You’ll learn…
Develop Your Fundraising Goals: Set goals for the amount of money you will need to  raise and what they will be used for. You will likely have several goals: program, operations, special occasions, etc.
Create a Fundraising Plan: Develop a written plan that states how much you need to  raise, from what sources will you use to raise the money. Don't worry; you can revise the  plan as you go along.
How Much Your Program Will Cost: Create your costs and budget  descriptions/justifications to help manage program costs and needs for revenue.
Create a Timeline for Your Fundraising Plan: Create a yearly calendar with specific  activities and develop timelines for each strategic fundraising activity.
Funding Sources: Develop the many funding sources that can be leveraged to raise money  for program and operations. Also, determine which sources of funding are not currently be tapped into – but could be.
It’s Time To Transition Out: What they will look like when they come into your  program and what will they look like when they leave your program
Right Activities and Fit the Plan: Create a list of fundraising activities and the right strategic  activities needed to raise the funds immediately and on an ongoing basis. Can current sources be leveraged to produce more income?
Module #4: ASSESS TOTAL MISSION IMPACT
You’ll learn…
Evaluate if the proposed fundraising activities are likely to enhance or detract from the  organizational goals
Determine strategic time your fundraising activities should take place
Outline clear assessment of potential fundraising goals for each idea
Determine cost and revenue potential of each fundraising activity
Identify if this event is donor or program focused
Module #5: GETTING YOUR DONOR’S ATTENTION
You’ll learn…
Plan clear donor messages: based upon what is happening within the organization,  program or specific celebration, create at least 5 or 6 messages to get your donors attention
It takes six touch points throughout the year to cultivate a donor
Create a variety of touch points: high-touch, low-touch, social media and community  outreach touches
Create at least 3 ways to educate and cultivate your donors at least three times a month
Module #6: NETWORK MAP AND DONOR ACQUISITION PLAN
You’ll learn…
Brainstorm all of your current donors, prospective donors or people that you would like to  introduce your nonprofit to
Research which organizations those people give to, support, and who they know that you  know. Also, determine if the companies or corporations that they work for have a community area focus of support that includes your audience.
Create 2 or 3 ways to reach out to them to make introduction and schedule a meeting to  make a connection
Determine what area of the program you will use to be the focus of the “connection”  meeting.
Determine what is the next course of action after the initial connection meeting.
Module #7: ONGOING CASH FLOW
You’ll learn…
New Donor Welcome Plan: Create a New Donor Welcome Plan that gives new donors  information about your organization; thanks them at least 3 times for their initial gift;  offers them a tour of the program or organization. There should be at least 3 NON-ASK  touches before the next ask for money
Donor Cultivation is KEY: Create 3 or 4 different ways to thank your donors
Tell Your Story of Impact: Create 4 or 5 program testimonials to use as: donor “invites”,  asks, thank you’s and educational pieces
Segmentation Strategy: Segment donors and create a donor file that tracks donations,  touches and program interest(s)
Ask Plan: Develop a minimum of three “donor touches” a month for each donor that  corresponds with the donor profile
Schedule at least 2 opportunities to call or meet face-to-face meetings a year with your each  donor segment.
Make 1 ask a month that corresponds with program or organizational goals, special  occasions or special gifts (i.e., Giving Tuesday, special events or celebrations, emergency situations)
Offer fundraising training opportunities to strengthen the board’s abilities to be successful  in helping the organization raise money for programs and operations.
Module #8: CREATING A FUNDRAISING BOARD
You’ll learn…
Select and interview board members who have the time, passion, commitment, connections  and influence in the community
Create a board policy that clearly articulates the board’s fundraising responsibilities
Make sure they define how much time they have available each month to help make  inroads into the community on behalf of the organization
Define their strengths, willingness and experience in fundraising
Have them express how their can use their fundraising experience to help the nonprofit  raise community awareness and funds
Create a list of 2 or 3 fundraising ideas each board member would recommend and take the  lead in implementing for the organization
Create talking points about program impact that the board can use when speaking to  individuals, corporations and funders in the community
Offer fundraising training opportunities to strengthen the board’s abilities to be successful  in helping the organization raise money for programs and operations.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ME TO GO THROUGH ALL THESE MODULES ALONG WITH THE ACTIVITIES AND HOMEWORKS?
When I conceptualized the A,B,C's Mastermind, I had a really hard time figuring out how much I should sell it for. After all, this is exactly what I have been teaching nonprofit leaders who are now hassle-free and soaring in their fundraising efforts.  But if your mission is towards your community, my mission is towards helping nonprofit leaders like you.

And so even if selling this Mastermind for $31,737 makes perfect sense because of how effective it has been for me, I know that as nonprofits leaders who joined the challenge, you are doing your best to get the funding that you need and that $31,737 may be a stretch to shell out right now.
THIS SOUNDS AMAZING...
BUT HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
So… I decided to drop the price and make this a complete no-brainer decision. So when you enroll in the Access, Belief, Capacity Mastermind …you’re not going to have to pay $31,737. You’re also not going to pay half of that at $15,868. In fact, for a very limited time… you can enroll in the
